Occitan, what are aquo?
Called ‘roman’ then Provençal or limousin, Occitan is the term that has gradually emerged to refer to all dialects of language of oc. Belonging to the family of Romance languages, occitan includes six major dialects are: the auvergnat, gascon, the Languedoc, limousin, Provençal and vivaro-Alpine.
Our interventions
We offer occitan courses in Montpellier and in the Hérault. Our courses are open to individuals and associations who wish to organize courses of occitan for adults.
We offer also the introduction to occitan, during extracurricular time. These interventions are designed to discover the language and the Occitan culture, in a fun way (through games, drawing, coloring,…).
Finally, we organize conferences on language and the Occitan culture, with diverse themes (troubadours, the Cathars, the Félibrige…).

Course of occitan in Loupian
The courses are organised by the Occitan circle of Loupian, in partnership with past languages. They take place every Thursday from 18:30 to 20 h00, to the Nelson Mandela of Loupian room. For more information, feel free to contact either of the two organizations.
Course of occitan in Lodeve
The courses are organized by the circle of the Occitan of the information, in partnership with past languages. They take place every Wednesday from 5 pm to 7.30 pm (group all levels) and from 19:30 to 20:00 (beginner group), to space Luteva of Lodève.
